The next trip took us to Lander, Wyoming for the annual Bills Family fireworks show on July 3rd. The show always manages to be a bigger production than the year before. The food was good and the show was great and we got to spend a lot of time with family.
In the middle of July we took a week off of work and went to Sequoia National Park in California. As soon as we had our camp set up and were cooking dinner the downpour started. It rained the rest of the night and occasionally the rest of the time we were there but we still managed to have a good time and see many of the sights.
For the second leg of the California trip we went from Sequoia to Valencia, one of the northern suburbs of L.A. to visit Shauna and Randy and their family. We spent two nights there and enjoyed our visit with them. While we were in the area we took a side trip to Santa Monica and Hollywood. We loved Santa Monica but wouldn't feel bad if we never made it back to Hollywood.
We wrapped up the summer excursions with a trip to Logan for our anniversary. We visited some of our favorite places and had a great time being together.
