Everything Since the Last Time We Posted--Except for Patrick's Birthday (shrug)

We--like the rest of the world--have been super busy this summer. We've gone hiking a fair amount, camping, fishing, eclipse viewing, and county fairing. Also, our kids went on their first plane rides (to Arizona) in May. Here are pictures of some of those things.

Conversation (from today) with Aubrey:

Aubrey: Mom, you're mean.
Me: No, I'm not (I wasn't letting Patrick throw his applesauce on the floor or put it in his hair).
Aubrey: Oh, I was confused. I didn't realize you were very, very nice.

It's my absolute favorite when she starts talking to me like a grown up and tells me I need to listen to her or explains that everything is ok.
